Baby Einstein

I learned the stories are true, babies really do watch Baby Einstein! Kellen was wide awake one day this week when I really wanted to study. In desperation I opened the DVD and was amazed when he quietly watched it.

Studying

Here's why there have been no posts...Kellen and I were studying. I wrote my exam to be an official registered dietitian today. I couldn't even guess if I passed or failed. We are not told what the passing grade is. We are only given a pass or fail. It was a very frustrating exam. Multiple choice. On most questions it seemed I could eliminate 2 and had to guess between the remaining 2. Most times it seemed that both were correct, but we are suppose to know the best answer. Scary thing is if I failed I don't know how I would better prepare for next time. Anyhow, I'm excited to plant the garden tomorrow and do some fun things this week!

Kellen's Story

Okay, I think I may have figured out a way to show you the video of Kellen telling me his "stories". Cross your fingers and click here:

Kellen's Busy Life

We finally bought a crib for Kellen so he can start sleeping in his own room soon. He's outgrowing his little basket quickly!

He's waking up from his first nap in his crib here!

Crazy Eyes is staying warm after bath time!

Okay, maybe these pictures are not so exciting, but it's a baby's life. Even the everyday things seem worth documenting. I actually sat down to post a video I took of him telling his "stories" as I call his babbling. It was so cute, even though he became a little less animated with the camera in his face. I guess I'm technically challenged and couldn't figure it out. So, if anyone can tell me how to post a video, I would be thrilled...

Kellen & Mommy

Here's some of my favorites from the photo shoot with J'nea. Lots of pictures, not so many with Kellen's smile. I think this one is my favorite. I wonder what he thinks when he sees me. I always thought it was kids that strive to make their parents proud. I never realized that a parent would think about who they want to be, because they want to make their child proud. I hope that Kellen will grow up to be proud of the person I am and the mother I am. He makes me want to be better.

Here's why Ian & I often call Kellen "Crazy Eyes". I would love to know why he gets this look and what he is thinking!

I love this boy SOOO much!

Kellen the Cutie

It's been awhile so I thought I'd better put up some new pictures. These are the cutest pics I got while visiting my Mom. I missed Kellen while we were at my parents, since I was studying and Grandma was getting to take care of him. It was great to get in some studying time for my upcoming exam though. I was a excited to get back home, but I was sad to leave. I guess no matter how old you get, it is always so comforting to be taken care of by your mother.

We had a dr. check up for him last week. He was 13 lbs and had grown 3 inches in a month. He is turning into a big boy fast! I look at him and still can't believe he's mine. Sometimes I am still overwhelmed wondering how I can ever be a good enough mom for this perfect creature!

Well, I guess I have to run already. Ian wants to try play some tennis. My guess is 5 minutes before Kellen protests being in the stroller out there. We'll see...

The Full Backseat

I got a glimpse into what it would be like to expand the family to fill the backseat of the car. I drove Kayla and Nolan to Moose Jaw to meet up with their Mom after the week at the farm. Maybe it has made me think of the reality of what it would be like to have 3 kids. Grandma was out for the evening when we visited, so Auntie Sarina and I had charge over all the kids. It kept both of us very busy trying to bath them, clean up from supper, and feed the baby. We wondered how our moms managed...

So not saying I would or wouldn't have 3 kids, but it gives me a dose of reality. I know I would definately develop more organization skills!
